GIROUX AND AUCOIN CLEAR WAIVERS, 3 ASSIGNED

According to multiple sources, the Capitals have assigned defenseman Karl Alzner and winger Brandon Sugden to the Bears today.  Alexandre Giroux and Keith Aucoin have also been assigned, but must first clear waivers before putting on a Hershey uniform.  Both players were put on waivers officially at noon Monday with the intent of both of them coming to Chocolatetown. BEARS RALLY FOR 4-3 WIN TO END PRESEASON

The Bears showed a lot of resolve and effort in Saturday's come-from-behind 5-2 preseason win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Wachovia Arena.
