As mentioned in this space previously, and also on my Facebook page, the broadcasters and PR guys in the East Division descended on Elizabethtown last weekend for our 3rd annual East Division Poker and Golf shindig. From Norfolk, Binghamton, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Adirondack they came, in search of good cards and drives down the middle. Both were in short supply. It ...Continued

SUGDEN'S ROAD BRINGS HIM TO HERSHEY
At first glance, Hershey’s signing of Brandon Sugden on Wednesday seems to add toughness to a lineup that can always use it in the AHL’s East Division. Perhaps it can be seen as adding a right winger and some depth needed there in the wake of Graham Mink’s departure. But the signing of Sugden to an AHL contract gives us ...Continued

The dog days of August aren't just an apt description of the weather outside, it also describes the quietest time of the season in the hockey world.
