POST LABOR DAY READING LIST
As everyone heads back to work after a three-day weekend, some must-reads for you as Camp Boudreau enters Day 2 with the rookies in Arlington.

Tim Leone is on the scene at Kettler, with a nice write-up on rookie Trevor Bruess and his pursuit of a roster spot in Chocolatetown in a couple of weeks.  To me, this article just reminds me how competitive Hershey camp is going to be, and again how deep this organization is.  Bruess is channelling his inner-Steve Pinizzotto, which I'm guessing will be well received by the fans in central PA should he stick at Giant Center to start the season.  Tim also documents here a busy day for Joe Finley, including a goal and an injury...http://tinyurl.com/len8ar

Vancouver's Cody Hodgson, who played against the Bears in the Calder Cup Finals last June, is being followed closely after an off-season back injury...http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290302

Jim Balsillie (aka Blackberry boy) has upped his bid to by the Phoenix Coyotes to over 242 million dollars.  It would still seem like Balsillie's bid to purchase the 'Yotes and move them to Copps Coliseum is a longshot, but a bankruptcy judge at the end of the day cares about paying creditors and not what owners (and Bettman) think of Balsillie.  The NHL's bid is now 100 million dollars less.  Money talks. I find this story fascinating, especially when in more than one place the possibility of a midseason move to Ontario is on the table.  The Bears do not play Hamilton this year.  What about the teams that do if there is a midseason move to an AHL rink?  I have a really hard time believing that could happen, even if Balsillie wins the sweepstakes.  What are those crowds in Arizona going to look like come October?  http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290348
