FORMER BEARS DEFENSEMAN INJURED IN BUS CRASH
I'll have a lot more on this in a little while, we're just now heading out of town on the bus toward Rochester. Former Bears defenseman Jonathan Paiement is among four Albany River Rats players hospitalized in Pittsfield, MA after a bus crash overnight on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Casey Borer, Joe Jensen, Nicolas Blanchard and broadcaster (and good friend) John Hennessy are all hospitalized following the crash. The rest of the team is back in the Capital District at this hour. Here's the link to the latest from the Times-Union in Albany. Our prayers are with John and the players, and the River Rats franchise. More to come shortly. I spoke with Owen Newkirk, the team's play-by-play announcer this morning, he's ok but has a mild concussion.
