BINGO WAS THEIR NAME-O
Hello and howdy from Broome County, where the Bears are about to take on the Binghamton Senators for the first time up here this season. The B-Sens have already made their four trips to Giant Center in 2008-09, and we're about to be here early and often. Three more after tonight, and two more before February comes to a close. Here's what's going on tonight.

-It will be Daren Machesney drawing his second straight start, and his third start in 2008-09 against the Senators. His numbers against the Sens this year have been very good. 2-0-0 by way of a record, and a 1.00 goals against average. Throw in a 96.5 saves percentage, and you'd take your chances here in the southern tier tonight. Hopefully that continues.

-Andrew Joudrey is home in central PA. The scrappy centerman has been sacked with a flu bug. Patrick McNeill, Patrick Wellar and Kip Brennan round out the scratches, although Wellar is taking the pregame skate here shortly.

-Binghamton will counter tonight with Jeff Glass, giving Martin Gerber a night off. Glass is 4-10-2 this season with a 3.56 goals against average. His numbers lifetime, especially at Giant Center, are less than stellar too. Interesting call by new coach Curtis Hunt, who tonight is behind the bench for just his second home game since taking over. Former head coach Cory Clouston was elevated to coach Ottawa back on February 2.

-Hershey has five games in New York State between tonight and February 27. Three in Bingo tonight, February 25 and 27, one in Rochester next Friday and a President's Day game in Syracuse Monday night at 7:00 p.m.

-The Bears are wearing their home whites tonight at the request of the Senators. Bingo is wearing their road red tonight here at Broome County. For whatever that's worth.
