BEARS SIGN JOUDREY AND BACASHIHUA
Two signings today, with one player returning from last year's Calder Cup champs, and another a newcomer with a good veteran resume. The Bears have announced that center Andrew Joudrey and goaltender Jason Bacashihua have both been signed for the upcoming season. Joudrey, one of the very best penalty killers in the American Hockey League last season, returns to help Hershey try and defend the Cup. Bacashihua comes to town most recently from Lake Erie, with stops in Worcester and Utah among others in the AHL. Both are exciting signings for different reasons. For Joudrey, he's a winner and kills penalties like a demon. Bacashihua meanwhile gives goaltending depth that the club may very well need for one reason or another along the way. He's a steady veteran hand, which is always good to have back on the last line of defense. All in all, a pretty good week of signings for the defending champs.
