BACK IN BINGO FRIDAY, BEARS NEEDING A WIN
Greetings from Binghamton, where we're setting up shop here in press row for the second time in three nights. At least we were afforded the luxury of being able to keep a good part of our equipment here. No sense in putting the radio gear on the bus to come right back here tonight. But Hershey needs a different result tonight with both the Penguins and Sound Tigers approaching in the rear view mirror. Here's what's happening this evening.

-It's the Kris Mayotte show here in the southern tier, drawing the start after back-to-back relief appearances. Mayotte did a pretty good job in mopping up on Wednesday, although the shootout left something to be desired. He'll have to be big tonight as the Bears look to break a three game losing streak against the Senators.

-Not much in the way of lineup changes for Hershey tonight otherwise. Steve Pinizzotto looked liked he might be getting back in this evening, which might mean Grant McNeill could be a healthy scratch. Otherwise, expect the same lineup from Wednesday.

-Ottawa assigned Brian Lee this afternoon to Binghamton, but it's unclear if he'll be here in time to play this evening. Geoff Waugh and Danny Bois are out as injury scratches for the B-Sens. Jeff Glass, who won Wednesday's game in relief, will start again Friday.

-The follow up to my comments about Martin Gerber: Ottawa recalled him today, but it was a move to expose him to NHL re-entry waivers. After his performance Wednesday, not hard to figure out why no organization wanted him even at half price. Mitch O'Keefe is backing up for Binghamton tonight, just up from Elmira.
