A CASE FOR THE DEFENSE
Assistant coach Troy Mann joins us today to discuss one of Hershey's strengths so far here in 2009-10, the penalty kill and goals against.  Entering Friday's game, the Bears have given up the fourth fewest goals in the Eastern Conference (31 in 15 games played, just over two a contest) and also have the fourth best PK in the league at 91.5 percent.  A surging Norfolk club will be a good test for both departments Friday night.

Perhaps surge isn't the best word to describe Norfolk right now, given the state of the city.  The Admirals are thrilled just to be here in central PA, with flooding shutting down much of the Hampton Roads area on Thursday.  Just as a point of reference with this story, City Hall Avenue and Brambleton Avenue, both closed right now due to high water in downtown Norfolk, are the two exits to get to Norfolk Scope.  If we had a game there tonight, it's a lock we wouldn't be playing.

Incredible that nearly a quarter of a century has passed since the death of Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Pelle Lindbergh.  A story well worth your time to read from the Portland Press Herald on his time with the Maine Mariners and the impact he had on that town even 24 years after his death...
